Framework Laptop 12 Mainboard (Intel® Core™ Series 3) Mainboards and Framework Laptop 12 Mainboard (13th Gen Intel® Core™) are both compatible with Framework Laptop 12.

Display Kit

Unchanged from the prior generation.

Expansion Cards

Power Adapter

All Framework Power Adapters are compatible with Framework Laptop 12.

Top Cover Kit

Unchanged from the prior generation.

Bottom Cover Kit

Input Cover Kit

If you want to upgrade your Input Cover Kit you’ll need to pick up the Input Cover Kit (2nd Gen) or upgrade the Touchpad Kit (2nd Gen).

All Framework Laptop 12 Mainboards are compatible with PCIe Gen 4 and Gen 5 M.2 2230 NVMe SSDs, but operate at Gen 4 speeds.

Wi-Fi Card

Framework Laptop 12 Mainboard (Intel® Core™ Series 3) is compatible with Intel® BE213 Wi-Fi 7 and Intel® AX211 Wi-Fi 6E.

*   _For Linux, Intel® BE213 Wi-Fi 7 requires Kernel 7.1 or newer._

Framework Laptop 12 Mainboard (13th Gen Intel® Core™) is compatible with Intel® AX211 Wi-Fi 6E.

Other Wi-Fi cards are not tested with the Framework Laptop 12 Mainboards.
