**Framework Laptop 16 Keyboard Not Appearing in keyboard.frame.work (Linux)**

On some Linux distributions, the Framework Laptop 16 keyboard (and optional input modules such as the numpad or macropad) may not appear in browser-based configuration tools.

This does not affect normal keyboard typing or input.

The steps below restore browser access to the keyboard for [keyboard.frame.work](https://keyboard.frame.work). Chromium-based browsers are recommended.

Download the QMK udev rules file:

wget -O ~/Downloads/50-qmk.rules [https://github.com/qmk/qmk\_udev/releases/download/v0.1.23/50-qmk.rules](https://github.com/qmk/qmk_udev/releases/download/v0.1.23/50-qmk.rules)

Append the Framework Laptop 16 rules to the downloaded file:

cat >> ~/Downloads/50-qmk.rules << 'EOF'
SUBSYSTEMS=="usb", ATTRS{idVendor}=="32ac", ATTRS{idProduct}=="0012", TAG+="uaccess"
SUBSYSTEMS=="usb", ATTRS{idVendor}=="32ac", ATTRS{idProduct}=="0013", TAG+="uaccess"
SUBSYSTEMS=="usb", ATTRS{idVendor}=="32ac", ATTRS{idProduct}=="0014", TAG+="uaccess"
SUBSYSTEMS=="usb", ATTRS{idVendor}=="32ac", ATTRS{idProduct}=="0018", TAG+="uaccess"
SUBSYSTEMS=="usb", ATTRS{idVendor}=="32ac", ATTRS{idProduct}=="0019", TAG+="uaccess"
EOF

Copy the updated rules file into `/etc/udev/rules.d/`:

sudo cp ~/Downloads/50-qmk.rules /etc/udev/rules.d/

Reload udev rules:

sudo udevadm control --reload-rules
sudo udevadm trigger

If the keyboard does not appear immediately, log out and back in, or unplug and reconnect the keyboard module.

After completing these steps, the keyboard and supported input modules should appear correctly in the browser.
