## **Windows 11/10 Pro**

**_NOTE: In order to use BitLocker in Windows 11, you'll need to make sure that TPM (Trusted Platform Module) is enabled in BIOS. Also, make sure you are logged in as an Administrator in Windows._**

**How to suspend BitLocker**

Open **Control Panel** by typing "control panel" into the Windows search on your desktop

Click on **System and Security**

Click on **BitLocker Drive Encryption**

Click on **Suspend protection** under Operating system drive

Click on **Yes** 

BitLocker is now disabled so you can perform upgrades. 

**How to resume BitLocker**

Restarting your Framework Laptop should automatically resume BitLocker.  You can also follow the steps below.

Open **Control Panel** by typing "control panel" into the Windows search on your desktop

Click on **System and Security**

Click on **BitLocker Drive Encryption**

Click on **Resume** **protection** under Operating system drive

BitLocker has now resumed.
